Context

Mopal Tapizados is a renowned Spanish furniture manufacturer specializing in high-quality sofas, sofa beds, and relaxation chairs. The goal of this project was to create a digital showroom that reflects the brand’s commitment to “Freshness and Innovation.” Built using WordPress, Elementor, and WooCommerce, the website serves as a premium catalog and e-commerce platform for international B2B and B2C clients looking for top-tier comfort and design.

Overview

The website is designed to showcase the meticulous production process—from the initial idea to the final delivery. I focused on a minimalist UI that allows the product photography to take center stage. Key features include a categorized product gallery (Sofa Beds, Relax Chairs, Lift Chairs), a “Contract” collection section for professional projects, and an integrated video showcase to demonstrate the “Art of Form” and comfort features of their furniture line.

Challenge

The main challenge was to communicate the sensory experience of “Comfort” through a digital screen. Furniture shopping is highly tactile, so the design had to use high-resolution imagery and strategic white space to evoke a feeling of luxury and relaxation. Additionally, organizing a wide range of product variations (models, fabrics, and mechanisms) without making the interface feel heavy was crucial.

The site also needed to be fully localized for the Spanish market while maintaining a modern, global appeal.

Solution

I implemented a cinematic grid layout using Elementor Pro, featuring large, high-quality images that highlight fabric textures and craftsmanship. To solve the information density issue, I created a “Z-pattern” layout that guides the user from the brand story (“Descubre el Arte de la Forma”) to specific product categories. I integrated a lazy-loading video module for the production process to maintain site speed while providing an engaging background story. The WooCommerce backend was customized to handle high-value items, with a focus on a “Request Information” or “Direct Purchase” flow for different customer segments.

Results

The project delivered a premium, performance-optimized digital storefront that perfectly aligns with Mopal’s high-end brand identity. The intuitive navigation and visual-first approach have significantly enhanced the user engagement rate.

By focusing on the “Innovation and Comfort” narrative, the site has successfully expanded the brand’s reach beyond local showrooms, providing a professional and scalable platform for global furniture distribution and direct customer sales.
